General Information
CHRIST THE KING SCHOOL, is a co-educational day school, established in 1996 and administered by a Christian Minority, i.e. Roman Catholic Diocese of Allahabad under the Article 30 (1) of the Constitution of India. The school is governed by St. Peter's Educational Society, Prayagraj as registered body whose Chairman is the Bishop of Allahabad Diocese. It is open for all the children without any distinction of caste, creed or economic background.
The motto of the school is "Lighted to Lighten". It stands for academic excellence, development of skills and character formation based on the love of God and the service of man as modelled in Jesus Christ, with a view to training citizens remarkable for their all round development and sincere commitment to God and country.
CTKS is affiliated with the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The Vision of the School is "To bring about advancement of students based on values of justice, forgiveness, love, and peace," and the Mission of the School is "Expand and provide easily accessible modes of quality all-round education to develop open-minded citizens who will recognize their common humanity and shared guardianship of the universe."
English is the medium of instruction, communication and examination in this institution. CTKS believes that a sound, moral, physical and cultural training is as important as academic scholastic instruction in preparing students for their role in life. Hence, great importance is attached to games, sports, physical exercise, value education and social service.
